Everyone likes pizza! But sweet pizza?! Even better! Must try this pizza dessert – it’s just “fat head” dough covered with chocolate and you will adore it. Garnish it with some berries and your eyes will enjoy as much as your palate. The best of all is that pizza dessert is low in carbs and you can eat it if you’re on a low-carb diet.
PIZZA DESSERT RECIPE
The recipe makes 6 servings (slices). Nutritional value (per serving): 159 Calories, 11.6 g Fat, 4.5 g Carbs, 11 g Protein.
Ingredients that you need:
For “fat head” dough (makes a 10-12 inch thin crust):
- 1 ½ cup shredded mozzarella
- 3 tbsp. cream cheese
- 1 egg
- 2/3 cup almond flour
For topping:
- 3 tbsp. homemade Nutella
- 3 pieces strawberries
- a handful of blackberries
Preparation:
At first, preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Microwave the mozzarella and cream cheese in a bowl until soft, about 35 seconds.
Add egg and almond flour, and blend well into a dough ball. Then press into a circle shape or square shape pizza on a parchment lined baking tray sprayed with a thin coating of olive oil or coconut oil.
Poke few holes with a fork to prevent the crust from rising while baking.
Bake the crust in oven for 8-10 minutes.
When the crust is done leave it to cool. Then spread over a thin layer of homemade Nutella and garnish with strawberries and blackberries. Cut the pizza dessert into 6 slices and enjoy.
