After a hot summer season, my skin gets a little dull and tan and during monsoon also, it looks lifeless. To avoid such problems, I prefer to go for some refreshing natural face mask which will also work in removing the tan. Today, I am going to share a homemade mask with kiwi and lemon. This is a super easy mask and perfect for all skin types. Let’s get straight to the recipe.
Ingredients and their benefits:
Kiwi:
Kiwi has so many nutrients like Vitamin C, E, and antioxidants. It keeps the skin healthy and rejuvenates it. Kiwi makes the skin young and maintains its elasticity along with a healthy glow. It also adds good hydration and provides freshness to the skin. It can fight skin problems like pimples, acne, excess sebum, etc. Also, kiwi can help in repairing the skin texture.
Lemon:
Lemon has a wonderful fresh smell and it is a refreshing fruit as well. Apart from this, it also fights against various skin problems like aging, dark spots, acne, and pigmentation. It works as a natural skin brightening ingredient and also helps in removing the tan. It can control oil on the face and leaves skin fresh.
Honey:
Honey is full of antioxidants which act as an anti-aging ingredient. It is extremely moisturizing and soothing, so it imparts a radiant glow. Honey is also called as a natural bleaching product, and it also helps in reducing the dull texture of skin. Honey also helps in clarifying the skin because it opens up the pores making them easy to unclog.
Procedure:
Step 1:
First, you need to cut some fresh kiwi and make a thick paste of it. You can do it with the hand; actually, it is better if done with the blender. Make sure that the seeds in the kiwi retain their shape, which will help to exfoliate the skin as well.
Step 2:
Next, you have to add 1 spoon of honey to it and combine the mixture well.
Step 3:
Now, add a half spoon of fresh lemon juice and mix all the ingredients nicely.
Step 4:
Your face pack is ready to use. As it is quite thin in consistency, so you can use a coin tissue, which helps to apply it easily like a sheet mask.
Otherwise, you can directly apply it with a brush on the face and keep it for around 15-20 minutes. After that, rinse it well.
Results:
I have oily skin and this kiwi mask is very light for me. It has thin consistency and my skin easily absorbs it. So, basically, it works as a great refreshing face mask which provides good hydration to the skin and makes it smoother, softer and healthier. My skin always feels so soft without feeling oily. It has the perfect balance of hydration; it is not a rich pack yet makes skin good. It contains kiwi which is especially known as a skin rejuvenating ingredient and it does its job well in repairing the skin texture. My skin felt tight and bouncy after using it. It also has some micro seeds which help to exfoliate the skin as well. Here, I added lemon and honey and both these ingredients are perfect to provide a glow to the skin. This mask helps to brighten up the dull, tanned texture and provides a fresh bright glow to the skin. Regular usage reduces tan and makes skin bright also. I really like this easy mask that works quickly and brings back life to the skin. It is also perfect for all skin types. Hope you like this DIY face mask!
